Client Requirements

The International School of Ho Chi Minh City, a prestigious international school in Saigon, needed to update and remodel some of their educational areas to ensure they remained a leading offering to the parents of HCMC.

They wanted to improve their Primary Campus Design and Technology department and create a Food Tutorial area suitable and safe enough for children of all grades.

Due to them being a fully operating school which only closes for the summer period, they needed a company who could execute what would normally be a 3-month project in only 6 weeks.

Our Solutions

Due to the complexity of the project and given the short window of the build, we discussed and consulted with the senior management team and advised the best way to achieve an ultra-safe environment for children whilst using the latest furnishings to hit the design level they required. Together we decided to custom design all fixtures, fittings and furniture from scratch; these were all sized to fit children from the ages of 4 to 11 – smaller tables, chairs, equipment etc. We also removed any hard corners or hazards to ensure safety.

Further safety requirements were met by ensuring we used western ISO standards in relation to Electricity; having inset sockets and childproof mechanisms.
